The Kiwanis Club of Traverse City is dedicated to supporting youth initiatives in the area.  Financial support for the club will benefit programs like the following:  the Kiwanis Dictionary Project for 3rd graders, the Kiwanis Ski and Snowboard School at Mt. Holiday, Kiwanis Student of the Month recognitions, Kiwanis Bike Safety through Norte, the West Bay Baby Pantry, the Kiwanis Kids Against Hunger meals program and many other local youth based initiatives.

The Kiwanis Foundation of Traverse City is a separate entity from the Kiwanis Club of Traverse City.  The Kiwanis Foundation is a federally incorporated entity that is tax-exempt under IRS regulation 501(c)3.  This separation from the Kiwanis Club (501(c)4) allows for Philanthropic support following IRS guidelines for donations. The Kiwanis Foundation of Traverse City welcomes all gifts via annual and estate gifts to build the endowment.  Contact the Kiwanis Foundation President to obtain information on the spending policy and guidelines for grants.  Support for the Kiwanis Foundation will be used for the endowment that benefits children and community of the Grand Traverse region.  Recent examples include: Kids on the Go, Chill out for Winter Safety, Norte Bike Safety, Newton’s Road, and PoWeR Book Bags.
